Map & location
Es Castell, Menorca, Spain
Es Castell has a distinctly local, harbour-town character rather than a big-resort feel. Hotel Artiem Carlos sits in a peaceful spot by a small cove, looking straight across to Mahón’s natural harbour. You’re close enough to wander into the lively main square and waterfront bars of Calas Fonts, yet set back just enough to enjoy tranquil mornings and quiet evenings on your terrace.
Mahon (Maó), Menorca’s compact capital, is a short bus or taxi ride away for sightseeing, shopping and harbour cruises. Punta Prima’s sandy beach lies to the south if you fancy a classic day by the sea, while the network of coastal paths and viewpoints makes it easy to explore at your own pace.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
An elevated outdoor saltwater pool forms the heart of the terrace, edged by sunbeds and parasols and perfectly positioned for views out across Mahón harbour. Free pool towels are provided, so you can pack light.
For a more natural dip, there are steps leading down from the pool area directly into the sea in the cove below – it really does feel like your own, grown-up bathing platform.
While there’s no onsite beach, you’re well-placed to reach Menorca’s coast: Punta Prima’s broad sandy bay is about 11km away, while other beaches and swimming spots on the south-east coast are easily explored by hire car or local bus.
