Questions, answered

When is the best time to go to Mauritius?

May–November is the dry, cooler season — best for active travellers. December–April is hot and humid with a cyclone risk in Jan–Feb. Year-round island, but May, June, October, November are the sweet spots.

Family or honeymoon — can both work?

Yes. The west coast (Flic en Flac, Wolmar) skews family, the north (Grand Baie) skews lively + couples, the east is sleepy + luxury, the south is dramatic + adventurous.

How long should we stay?

10–14 nights for a proper Indian Ocean trip. 7 nights is fine but you'll lose 2 days to travel either side.
