Once the summer residence of the Marquises of Chávarri, ALEGRIA Palacio Mojacar has been carefully reimagined as an adults-only seaside escape. Behind the original palace façade you’ll find a contemporary Spanish hotel wrapped in lush gardens, a lagoon-style pool lined with Bali beds, a spa with an indoor pool, and generous All Inclusive options. With the beach a short stroll away and Marina Golf Mojacar nearby, it’s a refined but relaxed base for exploring one of Andalusia’s most characterful stretches of coast.

Mojacar combines whitewashed Moorish heritage with 17km of honey-gold coastline, and ALEGRIA Palacio Mojacar sits neatly between the two. Set just back from Mojacar Playa in the former Marquises’ palace, the hotel looks out over manicured gardens towards the Mediterranean.
Wander 500m to the beach for laid-back days on the sand, or stroll a little further to chiringuitos and low-key bars. Golfers have Marina Golf Mojacar around 900m away, while the cobbled old town of Mojacar Pueblo – all viewpoints and winding streets – is an easy taxi ride for sunsets and tapas with a view.

The centrepiece outside is the lagoon-style freshwater pool, edged by lawns, palms and a generous sunbathing terrace with sunbeds, parasols and Bali beds. The relaxed soundtrack and adults-only setting make this a genuinely tranquil place to unwind.
Inside the spa you’ll find a second, heated freshwater pool with whirlpool sections – ideal for cooler days or quiet, post-sightseeing soaks. Pool towels are provided against a refundable deposit, so you can pack light.
When you’re ready for the sea, the wide sands of Mojacar Playa are about 500m away, offering gently shelving shallows, waterfront cafés and long promenades for evening strolls.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness takes centre stage here. The spa (16+, extra charge) offers a sauna, steam room, Turkish bath, whirlpool and a menu of massage and beauty treatments, plus that heated indoor pool. Opening times usually run from late morning into the evening across the main season.
Active guests can work out in the air-conditioned gym, complete with cardio machines, free weights and an aerobics space, or take advantage of dedicated cycling facilities – including secure bike storage, washing and basic maintenance services for a fee – making the hotel a solid base for road cycling in the surrounding hills.
Around the pool, the entertainment team hosts light daytime activities such as water-based games, while evenings bring live music, DJs, quizzes, karaoke and professional shows on selected nights between spring and autumn. The tone stays chilled rather than party-heavy, in keeping with the hotel’s relaxed feel.

Food & drink
The main buffet restaurant, Comedor, sets out Mediterranean and international favourites for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with show cooking for freshly prepared plates and plenty of choice for different diets. Expect a relaxed dress code, though beachwear is not accepted at mealtimes.
Between meals, two bars – including a poolside snack bar – keep drinks and light bites coming, with local, international and selected premium brands available on All Inclusive for at least 12 hours a day. All Inclusive typically includes buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks at selected times, and a broad selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks until around midnight (details can vary by season; check on arrival).
