Five outdoor pools mean everyone finds their favourite spot to cool off. Two main freshwater pools are edged with roomy sunbathing terraces, sunbeds and parasols, perfect for lazy days in the Algarve sunshine.

Families are well catered for with two children’s pools, where inflatables and water toys are welcome, and shallow paddling areas keep little ones happy. One of the outdoor pools has a sand bottom for a beach-like feel without leaving the resort.

For adults, the spa area features a heated outdoor freshwater pool – typically reserved for grown-ups – with loungers and a more tranquil ambience. This pool is usually heated between mid-November and the end of December, ideal if you’re travelling outside peak summer.

Food & drink

Dining at Cascade Wellness Resort is indulgent but relaxed, with fresh Portuguese produce and international favourites showcased across three restaurants and a stylish bar.

Mundi Restaurant is the main hub for breakfast, serving generous buffet spreads with hot and cold options, continental choices and plenty for younger guests, plus highchairs and a kids’ menu.

Senses Restaurant turns things up a notch in the evening with à la carte fine dining, show cooking and a focus on local flavours and carefully paired wines in an adults-only setting. Smart dress is encouraged and beachwear is discouraged.

The Gastropub offers a more casual atmosphere for lunch and dinner, with local dishes, comfort classics and a good selection of drinks.

At the heart of the resort, the Lighthouse Bar pours everything from espresso and detox juices to sundowner cocktails, open roughly from late morning until midnight.
