Overview
Nestled between olive groves and a golden Blue Flag beach, Galazio Beach Resort is a modern, low-rise hideaway in the laid-back Cretan village of Analipsis. All 48 rooms and suites cluster around a central freshwater pool, some with enticing swim-up access, while bright interiors and crisp, coastal styling keep everything feeling fresh and contemporary. Step out for a morning swim in the Aegean, wander into the village for dinner at a local taverna, then return to sundowners at the hotel’s bar – this is relaxed Crete at its best.

Map & location
Analipsis, Crete (Heraklion Area), Greece
Galazio Beach Resort sits in the peaceful seaside village of Analipsis on Crete’s north coast. Surrounded by olive groves and low-rise buildings, it has an authentic Cretan feel that’s worlds away from busier party towns, yet still within easy reach if you want a livelier night out.
Stroll a couple of minutes to reach Analipsi’s sandy, Blue Flag-awarded beach, backed by a relaxed promenade dotted with cafés and traditional tavernas. The resort centre is close enough for evening walks and shopping, while Heraklion and the nearby resort of Hersonissos are a straightforward bus or taxi ride for day trips and waterparks.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The heart of Galazio Beach Resort is its freshwater outdoor pool, flanked by sunbeds and parasols in a compact, social setting. Inflatables are permitted, which is handy if you’re travelling with children or simply love relaxing on a lilo. Fresh pool towels are available so you can pack light.
From the pool, it’s only a short walk to Analipsi’s Blue Flag sandy beach. This stretch of coastline is generally calmer and quieter than some neighbouring resorts, with clear, swimmable water and a gently shelving shoreline. Spend the day between your lounger and the sea, or break it up with lunch at a nearby beachfront taverna.
Spa, sports & wellness
This is a laid-back, beach-focused base rather than a large resort complex with an extensive activity programme. The emphasis here is on lazy pool days, shoreline walks and exploring traditional Crete at your own pace.
On-site you can expect:
• Tranquil pool area with sunbathing terrace
• Gardens and pathways between the five low-rise blocks
• Reception (open 16 hours per day, every day) for assistance, local tips and taxis
For livelier nightlife, watersports or family attractions, head to nearby Hersonissos or Heraklion – both straightforward day or evening trips by taxi or local bus.
Activities
This is a small, easy-going beach hotel, so the focus is more on downtime than on organised entertainment. Typical ways to spend your days include:
• Lounging by the central freshwater pool
• Swimming and snorkelling off Analipsi’s sandy Blue Flag beach
• Coastal walks along the seafront promenade
• Exploring traditional Analipsis village streets and chapel
• Day trips to Hersonissos for watersports and waterparks (locally arranged)
Seasonal excursions and boat trips can usually be booked via local agencies or through your Travelisto holiday specialist.
Guest services
• Reception desk – staffed 16 hours per day for assistance and local information
• Luggage assistance on arrival/departure (subject to staffing)
• Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel
• Pool towels provided (policy may require a refundable deposit)
• Local taxi and car hire recommendations via reception
Facilities are based on the most recent information available and may be adjusted seasonally or for operational reasons.
Food & drink
Wake up to leisurely breakfasts at the hotel’s buffet restaurant, where hot and cold options, Greek specialities and lighter bites set you up for days on the beach.
• Areya Restaurant – Buffet-style, serving breakfast during the main summer season (typically 01 May–31 Oct). Expect a mix of international favourites and local ingredients, with indoor and terrace seating where available.
• Main Bar & Snack Bar – Open roughly 08:00–00:00 in season, this relaxed spot looks after daytime refreshments and evening drinks. Pick up light snacks between meals or linger over a glass of local wine or an iced coffee after a stroll along the seafront.
Smart-casual dress may be requested at dinner. Menus, opening times and supplements can vary by season and board basis; always check the latest information in resort.
