Peacefully positioned in Nidri, Captain Stavros sits a short walk back from the seafront, so you’re close to the action without the late-night noise. The harbourfront is lined with traditional tavernas, cafés and bars, while boat trips to neighbouring islands depart just down the road. Head inland and you’ll find leafy footpaths leading towards the canyon and the much-photographed Nidri Waterfalls – an easy half-day adventure.

Nidri itself is one of Lefkas’ liveliest resorts, but it still feels authentically Greek, with bobbing fishing boats, waterfront dining and a backdrop of forested hillsides and offshore islets.

There are two outdoor freshwater pools at Captain Stavros, each with its own shallow children’s section, so families can splash about together. Pool towels may be available for a local charge and facilities can vary by pool.

When you fancy a change of scene, wander about 750 metres down to the nearest beach or along the seafront promenade to discover small coves, jetties and spots to dip into the clear Ionian Sea.

Spa, sports & wellness


While the vibe is laid-back, there’s enough on-site to keep more active guests occupied. Hit the gym for a workout – it’s equipped with cardio machines, a free-weights area, stretching zone and fixed strength equipment, typically open from mid-morning to early evening (around 10:00–20:00). Afterwards, challenge friends or family to a game of snooker or table tennis.
