Tucked along the sweeping sands of Mavrovouni, Margo Beach Hotel is a contemporary beachfront gem on the wild, unspoilt Mani coast of the Peloponnese. With just 17 stylish rooms and suites spread across low-rise blocks, it feels more like a chic beach residence than a resort – all stone, glass and olive tones framing big Ionian Sea views. Margo Beach Hotel sits right beside Mavrovouni Beach, a wide ribbon of soft sand and clear water that stretches for more than four miles along the Laconian coast. This is a postcard-perfect corner of the Peloponnese, where olive groves roll down to the sea and the Mani peninsula’s rugged hills frame the horizon.
The sleepy village of Mavrovouni has a relaxed, traditional feel, while lively Gythio – just a short drive away – adds colour with its harbourfront tavernas, neoclassical houses and fishing boats bobbing in the bay. The area is also important for Caretta caretta turtles, which nest on Mavrovouni Beach in the summer months, adding a unique, nature-rich dimension to your stay.
With car hire recommended, Margo Beach Hotel becomes a great launchpad for exploring medieval castles, Byzantine churches, dramatic caves and untouched coves all around the Mani and broader Peloponnese region.

Although Margo Beach Hotel doesn’t centre around a large communal pool, water is very much part of the experience thanks to its prime beachfront location and a handful of private-pool suites.
Beach
Mavrovouni’s long sandy beach is directly in front of the hotel, just across the small coastal road. Here you’ll find hotel sunbeds which guests can use when making a minimum consumption at the beach service (typically food or drinks). The shoreline shelves gently, making it suitable for confident children and paddling, and conditions can be excellent for windsurfing and kitesurfing when the breezes pick up.
This stretch of coast is also an important sea turtle nesting site in summer. You may spot conservation markers on the sand and, with luck, see Caretta caretta turtles preparing nests at dusk (always follow local guidance and keep a respectful distance).
Private Pools

Set on the roof terrace, the à la carte Margo Restaurant serves a blend of Greek and international cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Highchairs and a children’s menu are available, making family dining easy.

Margo Bar
