Use your included car to reach Kitries’ waterfront tavernas in a few minutes for grilled seafood and a glass of local wine right by the water, or continue along the coast to laid-back Santova beach. The historic city of Kalamata, with its old town, markets and buzzing promenade, is an easy day out, while ancient Messene and other archaeological sites lie within driving distance for culture-filled excursions.
