Map & location
Poros, Poros Island, Greece
Xenia Poros Image Hotel occupies a peaceful, almost cinematic spot on Neorion Beach, a sandy strand that curves gently around the bay opposite Poros Town. Here you’re far enough from the harbour buzz to enjoy a calm, coastal setting, yet close enough to dive into island life whenever you wish.
Hop in a taxi or take a leisurely walk (around 2km) to reach the waterfront of Poros Town, where neoclassical houses with terracotta roofs tumble down towards the harbour. This is the island’s beating heart, packed with tavernas, cafés, gelato bars and small museums. Climb up to the famous Clock Tower for sweeping views or stroll the promenade at sunset to watch yachts glide in.
The location also works brilliantly if you want to explore more of this “two-in-one” island (Poros is technically two islands linked by a bridge) or take boat trips to nearby islets and the Peloponnese coast.
- Approx. transfer time from airport 3 hours 45 minutes (via Athens, including road and sea crossing – timings vary by route and schedule).
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The focal point of the outdoor area is a saltwater pool overlooking the Aegean – a lovely alternative if you fancy a dip without the sand. A dedicated sunbathing area with loungers invites long, lazy days, and complimentary pool towels make packing easier. Inflatables and water toys are permitted, giving families a bit of extra fun on sunny afternoons.
Step beyond the pool and you’re straight onto Neorion Beach, where calm, sheltered waters and gently shelving sand create a relaxed, low-key atmosphere. It’s an easy spot for a morning swim, a paddle with the kids or watching the boats come and go from Poros harbour in the distance.
Spa, sports & wellness
Keep active at the small but well-equipped, air-conditioned gym, which offers cardio machines, a free-weights area and a sauna for post-workout relaxation (opening hours are typically 09:00–21:00, subject to seasonal change).
