Tucked away on Santorini’s quieter northeast coast, Colombo’s Beachfront sits in Koloumbos, a peaceful pocket known for its wild, black-sand shoreline and dramatic cape. From here, you’re close enough to dip into iconic Oia – about a 10-minute drive away – yet far enough to swap selfie sticks for sea breezes and starry skies.
Follow a short path to reach the pebbly black sands of Baxedes and Cape Columbo beaches, both with that raw, volcanic feel Santorini is famous for. The surrounding area is mostly low-key villas and small hotels, so nights are relaxed and the soundtrack is more lapping waves than late-night bars.

The hotel’s compact infinity-style freshwater pool is the social heart of the property. Loungers and parasols line the deck, with the Aegean stretched out in front and volcanic headlands framing the view – it’s as photogenic as it is peaceful. Pool towels are provided free of charge, and the pool typically operates from early May to early October (weather and occupancy dependent).
A few minutes’ stroll brings you to the black-sand and pebble beaches of Baxedes and Cape Columbo. Expect a more natural scene than on the caldera side: dramatic cliffs, deep blue water and plenty of space to find your own patch of sand or shade beneath the cape’s rocky overhang.
