Snuggled on a hillside just outside Pyrgos, Smy Orizontes Santorini sits in one of the island’s most authentically Greek settings. Whitewashed houses, tiny bell-topped churches and blue domes cluster around Pyrgos’ cobbled lanes, while vineyards carpet the surrounding slopes.
From the hotel you can stroll around 200m into the village centre for coffee, meze and low-key wine bars, or head uphill to Pyrgos Kasteli, the Venetian castle remains with far-reaching views over Santorini. You’re roughly halfway between the west-coast caldera views and the east-coast beaches, so it’s easy to combine sunset-hunting in Fira with lazy days on Kamari’s black sand.
