Map & location
Pedi, Symi Island, Greece
Pedi is one of those little Greek villages that feels untouched by time. Tucked into a valley on the north coast of Symi, pastel-coloured houses cascade down to a small working harbour and a curved pebble beach. Cats snooze on doorsteps, locals play cards outside cafés and boats come and go at a gentle pace.
Pedi Beach Hotel sits right on the waterfront in the heart of the village, so you can wander to a couple of laid-back tavernas and watch everyday island life unfold. Symi Town, with its handsome neoclassical harbourfront and wider choice of dining, is just a couple of kilometres away by local bus, taxi or water-taxi boat, making it easy to mix quiet beach days with atmospheric evenings in town.
- Beachfront direct access to the pebble beach
- Symi Town 2km
- Approx. transfer time from airport 2 hours 30 minutes including a ferry crossing from Rhodes (RHO).
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
There is no pool at Pedi Beach Hotel – and it really does not need one. You step straight from the terrace onto a pebbly beach that shelves into clear, calm water ideal for swimming and paddling.
Sunbeds and parasols line the water’s edge, so you can spend long, lazy days between your lounger and the sea. Sunbeds are chargeable (typically from around 10 EUR per sunbed), but you can usually redeem that amount in drinks from the bar or restaurant, making it a great-value way to spend the day right on the waterfront.
Spa, sports & wellness
While this is very much a relax-and-unwind kind of place, there is a small but well-equipped gym with cardio machines and free weights, open roughly 07:00–21:00 in season (minimum age 16). It is ideal if you like to balance sea swims and taverna lunches with the occasional workout.
Back at reception, the team can help with concierge-style assistance – from local tips and restaurant recommendations to arranging taxis or boat trips – and luggage storage is available if you are arriving early or leaving late. This is a simple, low-key hotel where the focus is more on the setting than big-resort facilities, which is exactly the appeal for many guests.

Food & drink
Wake up to sea views and a generous breakfast spread in the main restaurant, which blends Greek and international favourites in a relaxed, unfussy setting. Later in the day, the à la carte menu showcases local ingredients – think fresh fish, Greek salads and grilled meats – alongside international dishes, with seating both indoors and out on the terrace just steps from the water.
The lobby bar, set on a seafront terrace, is the social hub of the hotel from morning coffee to late-night ouzo, with that all-important view of boats gliding into Pedi Bay. Smart-casual dress is appreciated in the restaurant (no beachwear), and seasonal opening dates and hours may vary; reservations and supplements can depend on your board basis, so always check the latest information on arrival.
