Why a Celebrity Cruises voyage?
Six reasons we recommend this line to the right kind of traveller.
Modern-luxury, not stuffy
Designed by Kelly Hoppen and Nate Berkus among others — the public spaces feel like a contemporary boutique hotel. Service is warm but unobtrusive: white-glove without the white-glove fuss.
The Retreat — a ship-within-a-ship
Suite guests get exclusive access to Luminae (a private, chef-led restaurant), The Retreat Lounge, a private sundeck with pool and bar, dedicated butler service and priority everywhere. The most refined way to cruise short of the all-inclusive ultra-lux lines.
Genuinely great food
32 distinct dining venues across the bigger ships. Le Voyage by three-Michelin-starred Daniel Boulud headlines the Edge Series. Plus a sushi bar, steakhouse, French bistro, and casual options that go well beyond the cruise-buffet stereotype.
All Included pricing — no nickel-and-diming
Choose the All Included fare and your premium drinks package, basic Wi-Fi and daily gratuities are baked in. The bill at the end is the bill at the start, with no surprise add-ons.
The world, properly
All seven continents — Mediterranean, Caribbean, Alaska, Northern Europe and the British Isles, Asia, Australia & New Zealand, Galapagos, Antarctica. Both bucket-list big-ship sailings and small-ship expedition voyages on Celebrity Flora.
Wellness without compromise
eXhale signature bedding and pillow menus in every cabin. The SEA Thermal Suite — sauna, steam, heated loungers, hammam — is a serious wellness destination. Onboard fitness includes spin, yoga, Pilates and personal training.
Might not be for you if…
No cruise line is for everyone. Here's where Celebrity Cruises might not fit. We'll point you elsewhere if so.
You want adults-only
Celebrity is family-friendly with kids' programmes (Camp at Sea) and connecting cabins. If you specifically want a kid-free escape, Virgin Voyages or Saga is a better fit.
You hate any kind of dress code
Daytime is Smart Casual — but most evenings are Evening Chic, where shorts, ball caps and flip-flops aren't welcome in main dining. If you want zero clothing rules, look at MSC, Norwegian or Virgin.
Tipping culture isn't for you
Daily gratuities are $18-$23 per guest per day on lower fares (included in All Included pricing). On premium drinks an automatic 20% service charge applies. Saga or Regent build all gratuities into the fare instead.
You want an ultra-small expedition feel
The big-ship sailings carry 2,900-3,200 guests. Celebrity Flora (100 guests) is the exception in Galapagos. For polar or true expedition cruising, look at Hurtigruten, Silversea Expedition or Lindblad.

Restaurants, plural — up to thirty-two of them
From a three-Michelin-starred chef's tasting menu to a poolside taqueria, every ship has multiple complimentary main restaurants and a roster of specialty venues. The Retreat suites get an exclusive private restaurant.
What you actually do all day
The Retreat Sundeck
A private outdoor area for suite guests with its own pool, hot tub, full bar service, sun loungers and an attentive Retreat Concierge to handle on-board requests.
SEA Thermal Suite & Spa
Hammam, salt room, infrared sauna, heated loungers and crystalarium across the Edge Series. Day passes available; The Retreat suites typically include unlimited access.
Eden, theatre & live music
Three-deck Eden venue with original immersive shows, Broadway-quality theatre productions, live jazz at The Club, and resident musicians at Cellar Masters wine bar.
Camp at Sea — for the kids
Award-winning kids' programme for ages 3-17 split into age groups. Includes art studio, science lab, gaming and dedicated teen lounges. Connecting and family staterooms across the fleet.
