Map & location
Cala Mesquida / Capdepera, Majorca, Balearics, Spain
Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural sits in the rolling countryside just outside Capdepera in north‑east Majorca, surrounded by fields, pines and old stone walls. Despite the hidden‑away feeling, you’re only a short drive from some of the island’s loveliest beaches, including Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida, with their clear water, dunes and walking trails.
The area is perfect for slow exploration: cycle quiet lanes between villages, hike towards the Talaia de Son Jaumell watchtower for sweeping sea views, or wander the medieval streets of Capdepera before heading back to the finca for sunset by the pool.
- Approx. transfer time from airport 1 hour from Palma de Mallorca (PMI)
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The centrepiece of the gardens is an elegant outdoor freshwater pool, edged with stone terraces, sunbeds, Balinese beds and parasols. From 1 October to 26 October the pool is usually heated, extending the comfortable swimming season on milder autumn days (opening dates and heating are subject to occupancy and weather).
Pool towels are complimentary, so you can travel light.
There’s no beach directly onsite – this is a rural retreat – but you’re within easy reach of Majorca’s north‑east coast. Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida tempt with soft golden sand, clear turquoise water and rugged, undeveloped backdrops, ideal for unhurried swims and coastal walks.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness here is about simple pleasures rather than a sprawling spa complex. Expect:
• Beauty treatments and massages (local charge) in a tranquil setting
• Yoga sessions to start or end the day mindfully
• Cycling services with bike hire, ideal for exploring nearby villages and coastal routes
At reception you’ll find helpful concierge support, luggage storage and assistance with local recommendations. Mobility scooters and wheelchairs can be hired (charges apply), though the finca layout and steps mean it may still be challenging for those with reduced mobility.

Food & drink
Senzill Restaurant is the hotel’s gastronomic heart: an intimate à la carte restaurant serving refined international and Mallorcan‑inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, often with a strong farm‑to‑table approach. Think homemade breads, local olive oil, seasonal vegetables and carefully sourced meats and fish, all enjoyed on a shaded terrace overlooking the gardens.
The Senzill Bar keeps things relaxed with quality wines, cocktails and aperitifs from late morning until late evening (usually 11:00–22:00, 11 Apr–26 Oct, depending on occupancy).
A smart dress code may apply in the evenings, and advance reservations are recommended. Opening hours, menus and inclusions can vary by season and board basis; please check the latest details on arrival.

Cala Mesquida and the Capdepera area are all about unspoilt landscapes, sandy bays and a low‑key village feel rather than big‑resort buzz. Expect:
• Language: Spanish and Catalan
• Currency: Euro (€)
• Time difference: GMT+1
• Typical UK–Majorca flight time: around 2.5 hours
• Transfer: approx. 1 hour by road from PMI
Due to the finca’s stepped layout, lack of lifts and remote countryside setting, it is not ideal for guests with significant walking difficulties. Car hire is strongly recommended for getting to the beaches, nearby towns and hiking trails at your own pace.
