Map & location
El Cotillo, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain
Esmeralda Cotillo Homes by LIVVO sits in El Cotillo, a former fishing village on Fuerteventura’s quieter north-west coast. Today it’s all about uncrowded beaches, Atlantic swells and big skies.
Walk around 300m to reach the nearest sandy beach and the compact resort centre, where you’ll find laid-back bars, local restaurants and a pretty harbour. Surfers and bodyboarders head for the wilder stretches, while the playas and lagoon-like coves closer to town stay calmer and family-friendly.
The vibe is refreshingly low-key compared with Corralejo or Caleta de Fuste – perfect if you want a peaceful base with enough eateries and sunset spots to keep evenings interesting.

When you’re ready for the sea, it’s a short 300m stroll to the nearest beach, with more coves and surf-friendly stretches strung along the coastline either side of town.

Stroll just a few minutes into El Cotillo for oceanfront cafés, tapas bars and seafood restaurants around the harbour and beaches. Between the supermarkets, bakeries and local eateries, you’re very well covered for stocking the fridge or eating out on a whim.
