Nikiti, Halkidiki, Greece
Ammoa sits on the Sithonia peninsula, just outside Nikiti, where pine forested hills roll gently down to bright white sand and clear turquoise shallows. Days revolve around Agios Ioannis beach – a photogenic curve of sand just a short walk from the hotel – with quieter Kastri and livelier Nikiti beach within easy reach.
Head into Nikiti’s old town for cobbled lanes, stone houses and hilltop church views, or wander along the modern marina for waterfront tavernas and low-key cocktail bars. From here, you’re also well placed to explore some of Halkidiki’s most beautiful coves like Koviou, Kalogria and Lagomandra by hire car or boat.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
Pools are very much the heart of Ammoa. There are two main outdoor freshwater pools, including a children’s pool, flanked by wide sunbathing decks with sunbeds, parasols and some Balinese beds for that beach-club feel. Towels are provided free of charge, and inflatables are typically permitted in the main pool, adding to the relaxed atmosphere.
There’s also an indoor heated pool within the spa – reserved for adults – ideal if you’re visiting at the start or end of the season.
A short stroll takes you to Agios Ioannis beach, where bright white sand contrasts with the crystalline Aegean. The shoreline shelves gently here, making it particularly inviting for paddling and family swims, while nearby Kastri and Nikiti beaches offer a change of scene if you fancy beach-hopping.
Spa, sports & wellness
The spa is one of the resort’s stand-out features: a serene, contemporary space offering a sauna, steam room, Turkish bath and whirlpool, plus a menu of massages and beauty treatments (charges apply, minimum age 18yrs). There’s also an on-site hairdresser for blow-dries and styling before dinner.
Active travellers can make the most of the air-conditioned gym with cardio kit, free weights and a stretching zone, alongside organised aerobics, pilates, dance classes, yoga, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and more (some activities may incur a small fee or operate seasonally).
