Set on a gentle hillside in Aghia Marina – one of Chania’s best-loved beach resorts – Dore Hotel offers a calm base within easy reach of everything. You’re around 300m from the broad, sandy shoreline with its pastel parasols, beach bars and water sports, and roughly 1km from the resort centre where tavernas, souvenir shops and low-key nightlife line the main street.
Chania’s Venetian harbour, museums and atmospheric old town are an easy day or evening trip away, while nearby walking trails and coastal drives make it simple to explore western Crete’s scenery.

The main buffet restaurant, Vendema, sits poolside and serves a varied mix of Greek and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect show-cooking stations at lunch and dinner, plenty of fresh salads and hot dishes, plus simple options for younger palates. Highchairs and a microwave are available for families. Beachwear isn’t usually allowed at dinner, so plan for simple smart-casual clothing in the evenings.
Bars
• Main pool bar (family-friendly) – open roughly 10:00–01:00, serving daytime drinks, evening cocktails and part of the All Inclusive selection.
• Adults-only pool bar – open around 10:00–18:00 (seasonal), handy for quieter pool days.
