Map & location
Agios Fokas, Kos, Greece
Michelangelo Resort & Spa occupies a prime spot on the eastern coast of Kos, in the serene enclave of Agios Fokas. Here, black sand and pebble beaches meet rugged, pine-dusted hills, giving the resort a secluded, almost cinematic feel.
Days can be as lazy or as active as you like: wander down to the pebbly beach, take a dip in the therapeutic Therma springs nearby, or hop in a taxi to Kos Town for harbourfront tavernas and ancient ruins. After dark, you’re close enough to dip into the buzz of the island capital, but far enough away to fall asleep to the sound of the sea rather than nightlife.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
With four outdoor pools and an indoor spa pool, you’re spoilt for choice. The headline-grabber is the long, slim infinity pool seemingly suspended above the Aegean – complete with whirlpool sections, sunbeds and parasols and that unforgettable horizon.
Elsewhere you’ll find additional freshwater pools (some with waterfall and whirlpool features) plus a dedicated shallow children’s pool, so younger guests can splash about safely with inflatables and water toys.
Down by the shore, Agios Fokas’ pebbly black-sand beach gives the resort a wild, natural feel. It’s a relaxed spot rather than a built-up strip, ideal for reading, paddling and watching the light change over the Turkish mainland in the distance. Pool towels are complimentary, so you can move easily between the terrace and the beach.
Spa, sports & wellness
The Therme Spa is a major reason to stay here. Expect an adult-only heated indoor freshwater pool with whirlpool area, sauna and steam room, plus a menu of massages, facials and beauty treatments. There’s even an outdoor massage pavilion, so you can unwind to the sound of the waves (treatments and spa facilities usually carry an extra charge; minimum age 16).
Fitness fans have access to a well-equipped gym with cardio machines, free weights and a stretching zone (typically open 07:00–20:00), as well as a schedule of activities such as aqua aerobics, pilates, yoga, basketball, football and tennis.
Evenings see regular entertainment from live DJs and musicians in high season, easing back to a more low-key programme later in the year. There’s also an on-site mini-market for holiday essentials, and the 24-hour reception team can help with concierge-style support, currency exchange and local tips.

Food & drink
Food is a real strong suit at Michelangelo Resort & Spa. The main David’s Hall Restaurant lays on generous buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner with live cooking stations and an international-meets-Greek selection – ideal if you’re travelling with different tastes to cater for.
Mediterraneo Restaurant, overlooking the pool, serves an à la carte menu blending Mediterranean favourites with Italian and Greek specialities, including an elevated breakfast experience for qualifying guests. When you fancy something different, Soya Asian Fusion adds Chinese and Pan-Asian dishes to the mix, perfect for a date night.
Three bars keep you refreshed throughout the day: the showpiece Infinity Pool Bar – complete with swim-up area – is made for sunset photos; Juliano’s Bar in the lobby pours everything from Greek wines to signature cocktails; and Kymata Beach Bar brings drinks and light bites right to the water’s edge.
All Inclusive typically includes buffet meals in the main restaurant, snacks between meals, and a selection of local drinks served for at least 12 hours daily, plus a limited number of à la carte visits per week on 7-night stays (reservations required; supplements may apply for some premium dishes and drinks).
