Overview

Perched just above the bay with postcard views of whitewashed Skopelos Town and the Aegean, Skopelos Village Resort distils everything people love about the Sporades into one boutique hideaway. Traditional Greek architecture, low-rise buildings and bougainvillea-draped walkways create a village feel, while two serene pools, a highly regarded terrace restaurant and spacious rooms and suites make it a relaxed base for exploring one of Greece’s greenest islands.

Looking for dreamy views with an authentic island feel? Skopelos Village Resort sits in fragrant gardens overlooking the bay and the terracotta roofs of Skopelos Town. Whitewashed buildings, archways and stone paths echo a classic Greek village, while the two pools, al fresco restaurant terrace and cushioned loungers invite lazy, sun-drenched days between swims in the Aegean. For couples seeking Greece’s charm with a softer, more traditional edge than the big-name islands, Skopelos Village Resort is a sweet spot: timeless architecture, bay views and a genuinely relaxed pace, yet just 1.2km from lively Skopelos Town. It’s around 2 hours including a ferry crossing from Skiathos airport (JSI). See more Greece holidays.

Map & location

Skopelos Town, Skopelos Island, Greece

Food & drink

Mediterranean mornings roll gently into long, lazy evenings at the hotel’s main venue, Agioli Bar/Restaurant. Set on a sea-facing terrace, it combines buffet and à la carte service with a focus on Greek flavours – think salads layered with local olive oil, grilled meats, fresh fish and simple, sun-ripened ingredients.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are all available here in season, so you can graze by the pool or dress up for dinner under the stars. Highchairs are provided, and there’s an atmospheric bar service for sunset drinks overlooking the bay.

Smart-casual dress may be requested in the evening. Reservations and supplements can vary depending on your board basis and time of year, and facilities are always subject to seasonal changes.

Transfers & ferries
Reaching Skopelos is part of the adventure. Your transfer from Skiathos airport includes a ferry crossing of around one hour. On arrival, you’ll be taken from the airport to Skiathos port to board the next available crossing. Depending on sailing times, there can be a wait of up to six hours at the port; luggage storage is usually available if needed.

If your flight arrives after the final scheduled ferry, you may either be transferred to Skopelos by water taxi (where possible) or accommodated overnight on Skiathos before continuing to Skopelos the following day. Adverse weather can also affect both outbound and return crossings, in which case overnight accommodation on Skiathos may be required before travelling on.

Resort notes
Skopelos Town is the island’s atmospheric heart, with a photogenic harbour, Venetian-era castle ruins and maze-like alleys hiding chapels, cafés and tavernas. Expect Greek as the official language, Euro (€) as currency and a time difference of +2 hours from the UK.
