Agia Paraskevi is Santorini in slow motion: vineyards, a black-pebble-and-sand shore and a sprinkling of tavernas rather than nightlife. Smy Mediterranean White Resort sits in a quiet pocket just inland from the beach, so you’re close to the sea yet away from any promenade bustle.
From here, you’re perfectly placed to explore. Kamari’s lively seafront, bars and beach clubs are about 3.2km away, while Fira’s clifftop lanes and famous caldera sunsets are around 8km. Being on the east coast also means short transfers and long days of sunshine, without the crowds that gather in Oia and Fira at dusk.

The resort centres around a generous outdoor freshwater pool, framed by whitewashed buildings and sunbathing terraces. Sunbeds and parasols are provided, and pool towels are complimentary, so you can travel lighter. It’s all about low-key days here – sunbathing, dipping in and out of the water and wandering a few steps to the bar for a cold drink.
When you’re ready for the Aegean, stroll around 450m to Agia Paraskevi beach, a black-sand and pebble stretch backed by trees. You’ll find a small area with loungers and umbrellas for hire and a classic Greek taverna or two within easy reach. For a livelier beach scene, Monolithos (to the north) and Kamari (to the south) are both a short taxi ride away.
