Map & location
Rannalhi Island, South Malé Atoll, Maldives
Adaaran Club Rannalhi sits on its own petite island in the South Malé Atoll, surrounded by a shallow lagoon that deepens out to a lively house reef – ideal if snorkelling and boat trips are high on your wishlist. With no neighbouring islands in sight from most viewpoints, it feels wonderfully cut off from the everyday, yet you’re still close enough to Malé for a daylight speedboat transfer rather than a seaplane.
The island is comfortably walkable in a few minutes, so everything – from the main restaurant and pool to the dive centre and spa – is an easy barefoot stroll along sandy paths under the palms.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The island’s natural “pool” is its huge turquoise lagoon, perfect for paddling, swimming and learning to snorkel in calm shallows. In addition, there is an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas plus a separate kids’ pool, ideal for younger travellers needing a contained space to splash around.
Encircling it all is a private white-sand beach with plenty of space to stretch out under the palms. The house reef is accessible from the beach or via short boat rides, so you can spend hours watching reef fish, rays and – with luck – turtles in their natural environment.
Spa, sports & wellness
When you’re not dozing in a hammock, there’s a solid line-up of activities. The water-sports centre offers:
• Snorkelling and equipment hire (often complimentary for limited hours)
• Diving with a professional dive team (PADI-style courses typically available)
• Windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and more, generally at extra cost
On land, take your pick from beach volleyball, table tennis and casual island entertainment.
For downtime, head to the spa and wellness centre, where you can book massages and body treatments in simple treatment rooms or outdoor pavilions – the perfect antidote to a long-haul flight.
Other practical touches include a 24-hour reception, laundry/ironing services and a boutique & souvenir shop for last-minute essentials and keepsakes.

Food & drink
Adaaran Club Rannalhi keeps dining relaxed and beachy. The main buffet restaurant sits by the water’s edge, serving international favourites with Maldivian and Asian influences across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect plenty of fresh tropical fruit, grilled fish, curries and salads alongside Western comforts.
A choice of two bars plus a cocktail bar means you’re never far from a cool drink – from daytime refreshments by the beach or pool to sundowners looking over the lagoon. Drinks available on the All Inclusive plan are typically served during set hours and feature house wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks. Premium brands and some à la carte selections may be extra.
Dress codes are generally casual and island-friendly, but resort-chic attire is recommended for dinner.

More info
Local island time is usually GMT+5. Currency on resort is US Dollars (USD), with extras typically settled by card at check-out; you won’t need local cash on the island itself. Tipping is discretionary but appreciated for good service, and most guests opt for small USD tips for room staff and boat crews.
Speedboat transfers across the atoll are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in case of poor sea conditions. Luggage allowances on boats are usually generous, but any seaplane segments you add elsewhere in the Maldives will have stricter weight limits – speak to us if you’re combining islands.
Resort facilities, dress codes and inclusions can change seasonally, and some activities or services may carry extra charges or operate on selected days only. We’ll confirm current details at the time of quotation.
