Map & location
Filadhoo Island, Raa Atoll, Maldives
Reethi Faru Resort sits on the tiny private island of Filadhoo in the Raa Atoll – one of the Maldives’ quieter, more pristine atolls to the north-west of Malé. The island is encircled by a healthy house reef and shallow lagoon, with a broad sweep of soft white sand running almost uninterrupted around the perimeter. Inside, you’ll find dense tropical vegetation, meandering sandy paths and villas tucked between palms or perched over the lagoon.
There’s no local village here; the whole island is dedicated to the resort, so life quickly settles into a rhythm of sunrise swims, barefoot walks and sunset cocktails over the Indian Ocean.
- Malé (Velana International Airport) 160km
- Transfer domestic flight + speedboat (typically around 50 minutes once airborne)
- Approx. transfer time from airport Domestic sector and speedboat combined usually take around 50 minutes after check-in for your domestic flight (total journey time can vary with schedules and weather).
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The resort’s main infinity pool overlooks the ocean – exactly where you’ll want to be for lazy days and sunset swims. It’s typically flanked by loungers and umbrellas, with a bar on hand for fresh juices, cocktails and light bites.
That said, many guests gravitate to the beach instead. A broad ring of white coral sand circles the island, so you’re never far from a quiet spot to roll out your towel. The lagoon is generally calm and shallow close to shore, making it ideal for paddling, swimming and beginner snorkelling.
Swim a little further out and you’ll reach the colourful house reef, where parrotfish, reef sharks and turtles are frequent visitors. Access is usually via marked channels, and the resort can provide guidance on the best and safest entry points depending on the season.
Spa, sports & wellness
Reethi Faru’s spa is a tranquil retreat tucked among tropical gardens, often with thatched treatment pavilions, open-air relaxation spaces and a menu of massages, facials and body rituals that draw on Asian and Maldivian traditions (treatments at extra charge).
Active guests are very well looked after. The watersports centre is one of the best-equipped in the Maldives, typically offering:
• Non-motorised toys such as kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and windsurfing
• Catamarans and sailing experiences
• Jet skis and other motorised thrills (charges apply)
• PADI dive centre with courses and house-reef or boat dives
On land, you can usually expect a fitness centre, tennis and other court sports, a small selection of indoor games and a programme of low-key entertainment in the evenings – think live music, local performances or movie nights under the stars depending on season and occupancy.
Exact facilities can vary slightly across the year; we’ll confirm anything time-sensitive when arranging your stay.

Food & drink
With 12 dining and bar experiences, eating and drinking at Reethi Faru becomes part of the holiday. Expect a relaxed, island-inspired feel rather than formality – most venues are open-sided, with sand underfoot, palms overhead and the sound of the ocean as your soundtrack.
Vakaru is the main buffet restaurant, typically open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with live cooking stations and theme nights that roam the globe. Think fresh tropical fruit, Maldivian curries, grilled seafood and plenty of international favourites.
Dhiyavaru usually operates as an à la carte venue built on stilts over the lagoon – a lovely setting for a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner. Lighter bites and Maldivian flavours are common, with an emphasis on seafood.
Add to this a selection of beach bars, poolside spots and cafés – such as a sunset-facing bar and casual places for coffee and snacks – and it’s easy to graze your way through the day. Menus and opening times are seasonal, and inclusions vary by board plan, so we’ll confirm the latest with your quote.
All Inclusive and All Inclusive Ultra options generally include meals at designated venues, soft drinks and selected alcoholic drinks during set hours, plus afternoon snacks. What All Inclusive typically includes.
Rooms
Beach Villas
Set directly on the sand with easy access to the lagoon, Beach Villas are perfect if you want to step straight from your terrace to the water. They generally mirror the amenities of Garden Villas but add that all-important front-row setting, often with sun loungers on the beach itself and more direct sea views from your room or terrace.
Family Villas
Designed with extra space and flexibility in mind, Family Villas are ideal for parents travelling with children or for friends sharing. Layouts vary, but you can usually expect a larger living/sleeping area or interconnected spaces, extra bedding options and all the same core amenities, some in garden settings and some right on the beach.
Water Villas
For the quintessential Maldives experience, Water Villas are perched on stilts over the lagoon, often at the end of a wooden jetty. Expect a private deck with steps leading down to the water, panoramic ocean views and an upgraded sense of privacy. Inside, you’ll typically find a king-size bed, seating area, air conditioning, modern bathroom, mini-fridge, tea and coffee station, safe, TV and Wi‑Fi.
Premium / Jacuzzi / Sunset Variants
Higher-category villas may add extra indoor space, prime sunset-facing locations, enhanced bathrooms or in-villa whirlpools. These options are perfect for honeymooners or anyone marking a special occasion.
