Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The hotel’s small rooftop pool is a real city-break bonus: an outdoor freshwater pool on the roof terrace, usually heated from 01 April to 31 October (dates and opening hours can change seasonally). Sunbeds dot the terrace, making it a tranquil spot to unwind with a book between museum visits or before heading out for dinner.
For sea and sand, Barceloneta Beach and the broader waterfront are about 2.1km away, easily reached by bus, metro or a leisurely stroll through the old town and marina.
Spa, sports & wellness
While there’s no spa, Catalonia Born does include a compact, well-equipped gym with air conditioning, cardio machines, fixed resistance equipment and a small free-weights area (minimum age typically 18 years; usual opening 07:00–23:00).
Around the hotel, El Born itself offers the “leisure” – from design shops and galleries to tapas bars and wine spots – while the concierge team can help you arrange tickets and local experiences across Barcelona.
