Map & location
Conil de la Frontera, Costa de la Luz, Spain
Set on a low cliff and dune-backed stretch of La Fontanilla Beach, Hipotels Gran Conil makes the most of Costa de la Luz’s big skies and Atlantic light. A seafront promenade and short path lead straight from the gardens down to the sand, so you can slip easily between pool and beach.
Wander around 300m to the nearest restaurants and beachfront chiringuitos, or head 1.5km into Conil de la Frontera’s atmospheric old town for whitewashed lanes, tapas bars and lively local squares. The wider region is tailor-made for day trips: Cadiz’s bell towers and city beaches are within easy reach, and inland you’ve got the classic “pueblos blancos” hill towns to explore.
- • Day trip 40 minutes’ drive to Cadiz
- Approx. transfer time from airport 1 hour 20 minutes (from Jerez – XRY)
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
There’s a real sense of space around the pool deck, with the Atlantic providing a dramatic backdrop.
• Outdoor saltwater pool – the main lagoon-style pool, surrounded by sunbeds, Balinese beds and parasols, and oriented towards the sea for long views and breezy afternoons.
• Outdoor children’s pool – a separate freshwater kids’ pool with children’s section so younger guests can splash safely.
• Indoor saltwater pool – an indoor pool with whirlpool section, generally open from 31 January to 31 October, handy if you’re travelling at the start or end of the season or want a quieter swim.
Pool towels are available with a refundable deposit. Occasional water polo and family pool games are organised by the entertainment team in season.
