Set on the sun-drenched Costa de la Luz, Palacio de Sancti Petri Gran Melia fronts the 6km sweep of Playa de la Barrosa – one of Andalusia’s most celebrated beaches. This is the quieter, more authentic side of southern Spain: think Atlantic views, protected dunes and chiringuito beach bars serving just-landed seafood.
Novo Sancti Petri itself is a relaxed resort just south of Chiclana, loved by golfers and beach-goers alike. From the hotel you can wander straight onto the promenade, tee off at nearby championship courses, or head into town for tapas in traditional plazas. Cadiz and Jerez make easy day trips if you fancy some culture between swims.

Outside, you’ll find two elegant freshwater pools framed by palms and manicured lawns. One is adults-only, ideal for peaceful laps or poolside reading, while the main pool features a shallow children’s section so little ones can splash safely. For a change of scene, there’s a serene indoor freshwater pool with whirlpool inside the spa area (heated between March and November and reserved for adults).
