Map & location
Mojacar, Costa De Almeria, Spain
Set between the long sands of Mojacar Playa and the characterful whitewashed Mojacar Pueblo, Playamojacar Aquapark Hotel puts you in a relaxed corner of the Costa De Almeria. The beach is an easy walk away, while a short bus ride opens up bohemian streets, Moorish architecture and a string of chilled chiringuitos along the coast.
This stretch of Spain is sunnier and drier than many Costas, with wide-open sea views and a slower pace – ideal if you like authentic tapas bars and local life as much as pool days.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The main outdoor freshwater pool is the heart of the hotel, with a generous sunbathing area, sunbeds and parasols – spot-on for lazy days while the kids make the most of the water fun. Towels are available with a refundable deposit.
The dedicated aqua park (usually open late April to end of September) ramps things up with slides and kamikaze chutes, while the splash park brings tipping buckets and sprinklers just right for younger children. Do note that age, height or weight restrictions can apply.
When you fancy a change of scenery, wander around 400m to the broad, sandy beach of Mojacar Playa. This stretch of coast is lined with cafés and low-key beach bars, so you can alternate between sea swims and ice‑cream stops with ease.
Spa, sports & wellness
Stay active between slides in the on-site gym, which offers cardio equipment and a free weights area (usually for ages 16+ and open roughly 09:00–21:00 in season). Around the pool you’ll also find table tennis, darts and pool tables (some activities may incur a local charge).
Entertainment is a big part of the experience here. In high summer there’s a full daytime and evening programme, from small team games and water‑based activities to in‑house shows and live music. Either side of peak dates, the programme is lighter but still offers occasional activities and evening entertainment.
Practical touches include a 24-hour reception with concierge-style assistance, currency exchange (local charge) and luggage storage – ideal if you have a late flight and want to squeeze out a final pool session.

Food is designed with families in mind at Playamojacar Aquapark Hotel. The main buffet restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with live show cooking and a mix of international favourites and Spanish classics – plus highchairs and microwaves for little ones.
La Grappa – the hotel’s grab & go concept – focuses on Italian-style bites at lunch, ideal for quick refuels between pool and aqua park sessions.
Drinks are covered by a pool bar (open in summer daytime) and a comfy lounge bar in the evenings, where you can wind down after the shows. A smart dress code may apply in some venues, and restaurant opening dates and times are seasonal. Reservations or supplements can vary depending on your chosen board, so always check locally.
