Map & location
Palmeraie, Marrakech Area, Morocco
Sol Oasis Marrakech sits in Palmeraie, Marrakech’s famous palm grove just beyond the northern edge of the city. This is where you swap medina bustle for swaying palms, landscaped gardens and long, open views of the Atlas Mountains.
You’re close enough to dip into the souks, Jemaa el-Fna and the historic Medina, but far enough out to enjoy quiet nights and big skies. A hotel-run shuttle bus to the Medina (subject to reservation and availability) makes city trips straightforward, while camel rides and hot air ballooning in the palm groves are right on your doorstep.
- Jemaa el-Fna Square 13.8km
- Marrakech Medina 13.9km
- Local palm grove activities (camels, quads – external providers) nearby in Palmeraie
- Approx. transfer time from airport 50 minutes (Marrakech Menara – RAK)
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
You won’t find a beach here – this is about palm groves and pool days with big-sky Atlas views.
The main outdoor freshwater pool is the resort hub, lined with parasols and loungers. It’s usually heated from 1 November to 31 March (weather permitting), which is a real bonus for winter-sun breaks.
Little swimmers get their own shallow children’s pool complete with a tipping water bucket and mini splash-style features – ideal for younger families. Pool towels are included, so that’s one less thing to pack.
There’s also an indoor freshwater pool located within the spa area; use of this pool incurs a local charge and is typically quieter, better suited to adults or relaxed laps.
Spa, sports & wellness
Workouts and wind-downs are both well covered at Sol Oasis Marrakech.
The air-conditioned gym (16+; approx. 07:00–19:00) comes with cardio machines, free weights, fixed strength equipment, an aerobics studio and stretching zone. Organised activities include aerobics, aqua aerobics, dance classes, basketball, football, handball, petanque, pilates, table tennis, tennis, volleyball and yoga – enough to keep sporty teens and active adults busy.
At the spa you’ll find a Turkish bath and massage/beauty treatments (16+, extra charge) plus the indoor pool. There’s also an on-site hairdresser for holiday cuts or blow-dries.
Around the resort you have a mini-market for basics and souvenirs, and a reception team that can help with shuttle bookings and local tips.
