Corinthia Palace Malta occupies a privileged, leafy pocket of San Anton, right opposite the Presidential Palace and immediately beside the celebrated San Anton Botanical Gardens. This central-island location is ideal if you want resort-style tranquillity without losing easy access to Malta’s big-hitter sights: Mdina’s silent medieval streets and Valletta’s UNESCO-listed bastions are both a short drive away.
The neighbourhood itself is low-key and residential, with local cafés and conveniences a short stroll from the hotel, while the landscaped hotel gardens and mature trees create a genuine “country house in the city” feel.

Pool & outdoors
There’s a tranquil outdoor freshwater pool framed by gardens, with a dedicated children’s section and plenty of sunbeds and parasols for leisurely days in the Maltese sun. The atmosphere is refined and relaxed, with attentive towel service and a seasonal pool bar operating via The Summer Garden.
Inside the spa you’ll find a heated indoor freshwater pool with whirlpool features – ideal for a soak after a day of sightseeing. Do note that the hotel is not on the beach; Malta’s nearest coastal spots are easily reached by taxi or bus for sea swims and waterfront promenades.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness is a key part of the Corinthia Palace experience. The Athenaeum Spa (usually 09:00–19:00, 16+ years) features sauna, steam room, whirlpool and treatment rooms offering massages and beauty therapies (local charges apply). The Private Vitality Suite adds a hydrotherapy pool and outdoor splash pool in an adult-only setting, bookable for an upgraded, private spa experience.
A spacious, air-conditioned gym (typically 06:00–22:00, 16+ years) comes with cardio machines, free weights, fixed strength equipment, a stretching zone and studio space, plus sauna and steam room access. Outdoors, guests can enjoy tennis, or simply wander the landscaped gardens and neighbouring San Anton Botanical Gardens.
Elsewhere in the hotel you’ll find a refined lobby, quiet lounge corners for reading, and practical facilities including lifts to all floors and well-maintained public areas.

Food is a real highlight at Corinthia Palace Malta, with four à la carte venues and a stylish lounge bar showcasing everything from Michelin-star tasting menus to relaxed poolside bites and artisanal coffee.
Bahia brings a Michelin-starred flourish to dinner, with beautifully presented international cuisine and clever Maltese touches in an intimate setting. Francesco Mazzei at Villa Corinthia celebrates Italian flavours at breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack times in a grand villa backdrop, with highchairs available and a smart, non-beachwear dress code.
By day, Josephine’s Coffee Shop serves specialty coffee, pastries, light breakfasts and lunches, while The Summer Garden (seasonal; typically April–October) offers show-cooking, grills, Italian favourites and a kids’ menu beside the pool. Caprice Lounge & Bar is the place for aperitifs, nightcaps and light bites in an elegant lounge atmosphere.

Grand Deluxe Rooms offer a step up in style and space, with contemporary finishes and a bright, airy feel. Each includes a balcony or terrace, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, safe, coffee-making facilities and kettle, fridge, bathrobe and slippers, hairdryer and air conditioning. Bathrooms are fitted with a walk-in shower. Turndown service, minibar (chargeable), daily cleaning and on-request linen and towel changes complete the picture.
Grand Deluxe Room for Sole Use
Sleeps: minimum 1, maximum 2
Ideal for solo guests seeking extra comfort, these rooms mirror the Grand Deluxe layout and amenities but are sold for single occupancy.
Deluxe Double or Twin Room
Sleeps: minimum 2, maximum 3
A refined base with either a double bed or twins, these rooms include a balcony or terrace, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, in-room safe, kettle, fridge, bathrobe and slippers, hairdryer and air conditioning. San Anton is one of Malta’s most graceful residential areas, best known for its palace and lavish public gardens packed with Mediterranean plants and stately fountains. It makes a picturesque, central base if you plan to tour the island, with historic Mdina and capital city Valletta both close by and good road links to St Paul’s Bay and other coastal resorts.
