Map & location
Sipan Island, Dubrovnik Coast, Croatia
Perched on the shoreline of Šipan, the largest of the Elaphiti Islands, Hotel Bozica places you in classic Dalmatian scenery – think olive groves, fig trees and stone houses tumbling towards the sea. It sits just 50m from the waterfront in Sudurad, a pretty harbour village with ferries and boats heading to Dubrovnik and nearby islands like Lopud, Mljet and Korčula.
Dubrovnik Old Town, with its famous city walls and terracotta rooftops, lies 14km away by sea, making this an inspired choice if you’re torn between an island escape and a cultural city break. Evenings are blissfully low-key: sip a local beer on the terrace, watch the fishing boats glide in and plan tomorrow’s island-hopping.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The hotel’s star feature is its heated outdoor freshwater infinity pool, seemingly spilling into the bay. Surrounded by a sunbathing area with loungers and parasols, it’s heated roughly from 01 May to 20 October (dates can vary slightly by season), so shoulder-season dips are still comfortable. Pool towels are free of charge.
Just below, a rugged sunbathing platform carved into the rocks gives you that classic Croatian experience: lie back on a lounger, then amble down the steps straight into the crystal-clear Adriatic for a swim or snorkel. There’s no sandy beach here, but the water is exceptionally clear and calm on most days – perfect for confident swimmers and those who love that wild, natural feel.
Spa, sports & wellness
While there’s no formal spa, Hotel Bozica leans into the outdoors. You can head out on the water with scuba diving and snorkelling arranged through the hotel (local charges apply), ideal for discovering underwater life and hidden coves around Šipan and the nearby islands.
On land, cycling facilities make it easy to explore olive groves, vineyards and tiny stone villages under your own steam – a brilliant way to get a feel for island life.
Other facilities include:
• Reception with concierge-style support
• Currency exchange (local charge)
• Luggage storage
• Free Wi‑Fi throughout the property

At the heart of the hotel is Restaurant Bozica, an à la carte spot where breakfast, lunch and dinner pair island produce with big sea views. Expect a mix of Croatian and international dishes, with plenty of fresh fish, shellfish and seasonal vegetables enjoyed out on the stone terrace above the water.
The lounge bar shares the same terrace setting, ideal for an afternoon coffee, a chilled glass of Dalmatian wine or sunset cocktails.
Smart-casual dress may be required for dinner, and facilities, opening times and inclusions can vary by season and board basis.
