Map & location
Porec, Pula and Istrian Coast, Croatia
BO Hotel Palazzo enjoys one of Poreč’s prime addresses, sitting right on the seafront at the end of the old-town peninsula. Step outside and you’re surrounded by cobbled streets, stone townhouses and cosy wine bars, with the marina and main square only a short stroll away.
It’s an ideal choice if you like to explore on foot: wander to the UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica, hop on boat trips along the Istrian coast, or simply follow the waterfront promenade to rocky bathing platforms and beach clubs shaded by pines. Evenings are all about lingering over seafood, Istrian truffles and a glass of local Malvazija while the sun slips behind the islands.
- Seafront on the waterfront
- Poreč resort centre (shops, bars, restaurants) 100m
- beaches / bathing platforms short walk along the promenade
- Approx. transfer time from airport 1 hour 15 minutes from Pula (PUY)
- Please note due to the hotel’s setting in a traffic-restricted old town, you’ll usually change vehicles in Poreč before a short onward transfer to the hotel.
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The hotel’s petite outdoor freshwater pool feels more like a refined city plunge pool than a sprawling resort lagoon – perfect for cooling off between sightseeing forays. A small sunbathing terrace with sunbeds and parasols looks towards the water, creating a calm spot for a late-afternoon dip. The pool is usually open from May through to the end of September, weather and occupancy permitting.
While there isn’t a classic sandy beach right in front of the hotel, you’re excellently placed for rocky coves and bathing platforms along Poreč’s coastline. Many have stepped access into the sea, café-bars and pine shade, with more family-friendly options such as Brulo beach a short walk or taxi ride away.
Spa, sports & wellness
After exploring the old town, retreat to the hotel’s spa, which offers:
– Sauna, Turkish bath and whirlpool (typically open 08:00–20:00)
– Relaxation spaces and changing areas
Those keen to keep active can make use of the compact but well-equipped gym, generally open from mid-April to the end of December (approx. 10:00–20:00), with:
– Cardio fitness equipment
– Free weights area and stretching zone
– Fixed strength machines
Other useful facilities include:
– 24-hour reception and concierge-style assistance
– Luggage storage – handy for late departures
– Equipment hire such as fans and kettles (subject to availability)
Evening entertainment is low-key and focused on the surrounding town – think harbour strolls, wine bars and live music venues dotted through Poreč’s atmospheric streets, rather than loud resort shows.

Dining at BO Hotel Palazzo is all about relaxed elegance and Adriatic flavours with an Italian twist.
The main à la carte restaurant, usually branded as Ritzi, serves a mix of international, Italian and local Istrian dishes across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect fresh seafood, pasta, local olive oil and a carefully chosen wine list, with the bonus of a seafront setting when the weather plays ball.
The Ritzi Pool Bar keeps you refreshed during the day and into the evening (typically open April–October), pouring everything from morning coffees to cocktails and premium spirits beside the pool.
If you opt for Half Board, dinners are generally buffet-style with service from a designated à la carte menu; exact format can vary by season. A smart-casual dress code may apply in the evenings, and reservations or supplements may be required for certain items or services – always check the latest details on arrival.
