Map & location
Venice City, Venice, Italy
Palazzo San Lorenzo sits in the historic Castello district, one of Venice’s most atmospheric neighbourhoods. Step outside and you’re on a narrow calle by a quiet canal, yet within a few minutes’ stroll you reach the drama of St Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Wander in the opposite direction and you’re heading towards the Rialto Bridge and its bustling markets.
This side of the city feels lived-in as well as beautiful: you’ll find local bacari (wine bars), tiny cafés and artisan shops threaded between Gothic facades and hidden campi (squares). It’s a superb choice if you want to see the big sights but still feel immersed in authentic Venice when you come “home”.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
There is no pool or beach at Palazzo San Lorenzo – this is a traditional city palazzo surrounded by canals and historic lanes. Venice Lido’s sandy beachfront can be reached by vaporetto if you fancy a day by the sea in warmer months, but most guests stay here to soak up the architecture, art and food of the lagoon city itself.
Spa, sports & wellness
Facilities are tailored to city-break convenience rather than resort-style stays. Expect a small, stylish lobby area, 24-hour reception and concierge-style assistance with restaurant tips or directions. A lift serves the three floors, helpful after a day of walking the bridges and backstreets.
While there’s no dedicated spa or gym on site, Venice offers plenty of wellness options and walking here is a workout in itself. Use Palazzo San Lorenzo as your comfortable, well-located base between museum visits, church hopping and sunset strolls along the canals.
Activities
Palazzo San Lorenzo doesn’t run a structured activity programme – Venice itself is the attraction. From this base you can:

?️ Visit St Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs
?️ Wander to Rialto for markets, artisan shops and bacari
? Take vaporetto trips to Murano, Burano or the Lido

Ask reception for walking-route ideas if you want to discover lesser-known corners of the city.
