Map & location
Kolocep Island, Dubrovnik Coast, Croatia
Kalamota Beach House sits on the seafront of tiny, car‑free Kolocep Island, one of the Elaphiti Islands just off the Dubrovnik Coast. Life moves slowly here: pine forests and carob groves give way to coves, pebble beaches and two sleepy villages, Donje Celo and Gornje Celo.
You’re 500m from the nearest pebble beach and about 1.5km from a handful of local shops, bars and restaurants, perfect for an evening stroll. Regular boats connect the island with Dubrovnik, so you can spend the day wandering city walls and palaces, then retreat to island calm by sunset.
- pebble beach 500m
- shops, bars & restaurants 1.5km
- Ferry port 2km
- Dubrovnik resort centre (via boat) 14km
- Approx. transfer time from airport 1–2 hours (road + ferry)
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
Head up to the rooftop to find the hotel’s showpiece: an outdoor freshwater pool framed by sunbeds and Balinese beds, all gazing out over the Adriatic. It’s an intimate space that feels more private villa than hotel, ideal for long, lazy afternoons with a book. Pool towels are provided against a refundable deposit.
Below, the island’s pebble beaches are just a short stroll away – clear, calm waters make them especially inviting for swimming and paddling, and there are facilities for kayaking and sailing on nearby stretches of coast.
Spa, sports & wellness
This is a place to slow the pace rather than schedule your day. While there’s no formal spa or gym, Kolocep itself is a natural playground: follow forest trails between the two villages, discover tucked‑away coves or explore the coastline by kayak.
On site, you’ll find a small reception area with concierge support, currency exchange (local charge) and luggage storage, plus equipment like kettles available to borrow. Free Wi‑Fi lets you stay connected, though the setting might just tempt you to switch off.
