When you’re ready for the sea, it’s just a short walk – about 100m – to the sandy beach of Marina di Ragusa. Expect soft sand, clear water and family-friendly shallows. Start the day with freshly baked pastries, fruit and hot dishes at Terraqua, the hotel’s main restaurant by the pool. It offers a mix of buffet and à la carte service with local Sicilian cuisine, show cooking at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and plenty of Mediterranean favourites. Highchairs are available for younger guests.

In the evenings, head to the Acacia Palace Bar, a contemporary lobby bar open from around 10:00 to 23:00 – ideal for aperitifs, digestifs or a glass of Sicilian wine before wandering into town. A smart dress code may apply indoors, and beachwear is usually not permitted in the bar or restaurant.
