Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The rooftop terrace is Fitch Hotel’s standout feature: a compact yet inviting outdoor freshwater pool edged by sunbeds and parasols, framed by city views and a hint of sea in the distance. The pool is typically heated from 1 November to 31 March, making it a tempting spot even in Malta’s cooler months. Pool towels are complimentary, so you can travel light.
Note: access to the rooftop pool is via stairs only, which may make the hotel less suitable for guests with limited mobility.
When you fancy the feel of sand between your toes, St George’s Bay beach is around 500m away, offering a small arc of golden sand and gently shelving waters – perfect for lazy days between sightseeing and nights out.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness at Fitch is low-key but considered. The air-conditioned gym is well-equipped for a city break, featuring cardio machines, fixed strength equipment, a free-weights area and a stretching zone, and is usually open from 09:00 to 21:00. After a workout, you can ease muscles in the small whirlpool area alongside the fitness space.
Around the hotel, concierge staff are on hand to help with restaurant recommendations, car hire or excursion ideas, while the lobby provides a calm retreat from St Julian’s buzz. Currency exchange, English-language newspapers (local charge) and luggage storage add practical convenience. There’s also charging for motorised scooters, handy if you’re exploring further afield on wheels.

Food & drink
The hotel’s dining scene matches its sophisticated design. Riccio, the main restaurant, blends buffet and à la carte service, serving international dishes with a Mediterranean twist for breakfast and selected other meals depending on board. Expect beautifully plated dishes, quality ingredients and an intimate, urbane feel rather than mass-market buffet lines.
The lobby-level Fitch Bar acts as a stylish living room for the hotel – ideal for a pre-dinner spritz, a glass of Maltese wine or light bites before heading out to sample St Julian’s many restaurants.
A smart-casual dress code may apply during dinner. Reservations and supplements can vary by season and by board basis, and menus are subject to change. For more on how meal packages usually work, see what All Inclusive and meal plans typically include.
